Be a part of the ecosystem and explore the Churchill area in half-day or full-day tours. Tours available from beginning of June to end of November.
Northern Life Recreation (Thompson)
Northern Life Recreation offers interpretive guided tours for large groups. Customized tours can include Spirit Way, Pisew Falls, snowshoeing (winter only) and Aboriginal workshops.
We also provide outfitting gear that includes everything from canoes and satellite phone to sleeping bags, tents and cooking equipment.
Snow Lake Hiking / Walking (Snow Lake)
The Boreal, Chickadee and Lakeview Interpretive Trails are groomed paths wtih cement, gravel or natural paths through the boreal forest with a view of beautiful Snow Lake. The interpretive bird signs include the common raven, black-capped chickadee, common loon, gray jay, downy woodpecker and pine grosbeak. You can also catch a glimpse of many other species.
Spirit Way (Thompson)
The Spirit Way walkway is an award-winning walking and biking path from Thompson's Heritage North Museum to the Miles Hart Bridge, a distance of about 2 km (1.2 miles). Consisting of forest, downtown and river sections, Spirit Way provides amazing stories, vistas, and public art, including 34 stunning Spirit Way Wolves, a Tribute to Northern Aviation and Canada's largest rockface sculpture.
Wekusko Falls Provincial Park (Snow Lake)
The park includes a campground, beach, playground, boat launches and two suspended bridges.
