Thompson, MB celebrates Canada Day 2014! (Thompson)

Hosted by 102.9 CHTM this day long event gets started at 10:00 am with a pancake/hot dog brunch.  Kids Funland Bouncers, Arts & Crafts activities and family games get started at 11:00 am.  A performance by Seanster & The Monsters (performing their children's song hits) is also scheduled. 
Food booths open from noon to 11:00 pm with the theme "Taste the World!".  Multicultural entretainment from noon to 11:00 pm (Korean, Aboriginal, Cuban, German, Indian and Mexican performances).
Cap the day off with the fantastic FIREWORKS show at 11 pm (weather permitting).

Gillam Canada Day Celebrations (Gillam)

This fun day in Gillam includes a foam bubbles slip n slide courtesy of the Gillam Fire Crew, horse shoe tourney and free BBQ.  Event sponsored by the Town of Gillam.

Concerts in the Park (Thompson)

Presented by the City of Thompson and the Manitoba Arts Network, join us for FREE outdoor concerts every Friday at MacLean Park throughout the summer (July - August).  Enjoy the sounds of Aboriginal Vocalists, Rock, Deejays, Folk and R&B.

Fox Lake Cree Nation Pow Wow (Gillam)

Please join us at this upcoming cultural celebration in Gillam, MB.  Friday things get started with the Grand Entrance and a premiere performance by Neemu-Egwah (a specially choreographed performance designed by the Aboriginal School of Dance that depicts how young Aboriginal people express multiculturalism through the art of music and dance), Saturday is a full day featuring a traditional Powow.  Sunday afternoon is the conclusion of the festivities with a powerful send-off.  Throughout the weekend look forward to dances, musical performances, artisans, workshops (dance, drum making, beading, etc) and food!

Walking with Our Sisters Exhibit (Flin Flon)

Walking With Our Sisters is a commemorative art installation to honour the lives of missing and murdered Indigenous Women of Canada and the United States; to acknowledge the grief and torment families of these women continue to suffer; and, to raise awareness of this issue and create opportunity for broad community-based dialogue on the issue.
