Northstar Archers Outdoor 3D Tournament (The Pas)

Thompson Nickel Days (Thompson)

Nickel Days are held annually on the third weekend of June and include a midway, the National King Miner Contest, a parade (Theme: Nations of Neighbours), family stage shows, talent contests, softball tournament and many other special events. This year's Nickel Days dance features TOM COCHRANE WITH RED RIDER!  Dance tickets are $40 and available at Don Johnson Jewellers.

Thompson National Aboriginal Day Events (Thompson)

Celebrating a day of culture, tradition and community, this all-day event begins with a sunrise ceremony at daybreak.  A tipi, tents and platform are set up at the celebration site, all of which takes place outdoors.  The celebration begins at 1:00 pm with the Grand Entry, greetings from the original signatories of the Thompson Aboriginal Accord, with a 25 year reflection for the former MLA Elijah Harper marking the historic defeat of the Meech Lake Accord.
There'll be no shortage of great food, the City of Thompson will be hosting a Free Community Barbeque above MacLean Park near the City Hall entrance, while the Manitoba Metis Federation will host a Fish Fry fundraiser. BBQ and fish fry get started at 12:00 noon. 
Afternoon celebrations will proceed with a pow-wow demonstration followed by live performances from Aboriginal bands.
The evening includes more entertainment, including jigging demonstration & competition, followed by square dancing demonstration and further performances by Aboriginal Artists.  National Aboriginal Day will conclude with closing remarks, a community round dance and retiring of the Eagle Staff and flags.  All events are free to attend and open to all.

Pride week begins with a flag raising on Monday, June 22, 2015.  All ages events throughout the week.  Mini festival is Saturday, June 27th from 11 am to 3 pm with live entertainment, guest speakers, music, food, kids games and more!  18+ Dance Party to follow in the evening will premiere its first ever drag show!  Follow facebook page for more details.

Flin Flon Trout Festival (Flin Flon)

It's a great weekend to visit Flin Flon! This fun summer festival is held annually as a kick off to summer and includes Canoe Races, Cabar-eh!, fireworks, pancake breakfast, parade, Canada Day celebrations, Main Street Days (illusionist, fair rides, food booths), community concerts, fish fry, battle of the bands, BMX and skate competition, Show & Shine and so much more!
