Bust the Winter Blues Festival (Flin Flon)

So many activities to get you out of the house this winter happening at this annual festival.  Skating, trivia, ice fishing, horse sleigh rides, snowmobile poker derby, pancake breakfast, family fun night, fireworks and so much more!

Thompson Winterfest (Thompson)

Winterfest is an annual event celebrating the North and our traditional and non traditional wnter activities.  Throughout the entire month, there will be so many fun family and individual events for everyone to enjoy.  Children/Adult concerts, curling and hockey games, snowmobiel and sled dog races and much much more.  Kick off event features a bonfire, live entertainmnet, free hot chocolate and fireworks so don't miss out.  Kick off takes place at Thompson Regional Community Centre.

Sweetheart Poker Derby (Thompson)

Grab your sweetheart and come join the fun in this annual Thompson Trailbreaker event!  Register at 8:30 at Nickel City Motors, it's Free Ride Weekend so no SnoMan passes are required.  CASH PRIZES: $500, $300 and $200 for 1st, 2nd, 3rd.  Ride with your sweetheart and they get 1 hand free with a purchase of 3 hands for $20.  Last hand in by 3:00 pm.

Aseneskak Casino Anniversary Celebrations (The Pas)

Come out and help celebrate Aseneskak Casino's 14th Anniversary! Hourly cash draws of $250 starting at 4PM (they're giving away a total of $2500!!). You must be a Club member to take part but if you are not a member, it is FREE to sign up and only takes a few minutes. Just got to the Trapper's Club Desk and they will help you. This all happens on Monday, February 15, 2016. Fireworks show at 9PM in Casino parking lot, free Hot Dogs & Hot Chocolate while quantities last.

Northern Manitoba Trapper's Festival (The Pas)

NOTHING ROUTINE IN 2016! This is Manitoba's oldest winter festival - originating in 1916 - celebrates the cultural heritage of the northern pioneer with skills and entertainment; World Championship Dog Race; King Trapper events include canoe packing, trap setting, moose calling, bannock baking and more; arts and crafts show, beard growing contest, children’s games, evening rendezvous, fur queen competition.  Like the Northern Manitoba Trapper's Festival on facebook to keep up to date.

NLDA Snowmobile Drag Races - Nelson House (Nelson House)

Presented by the Northern Lights Drag Association.

Registration starts at 9:00 am, race meeting and tech at 11:00 am and racing begins at 12:00 noon. Races (Stock, Improved, Mod, Turbo, King of Snow, 120), concession, 50/50 raffle, 120 kids races.

Winterfest 2016 Frozen Freestyle (Thompson)

X-Games Competitor Josh Penner is coming to Thompson to perform his snowmobile freestyle skills, Along with him, Mike Poirier, Cody Ewasko, Dustin Dboe and Thompson's hometown rider Dave Kelly will perform jumping a 70 foot gap while mastering various tricks.
