March 11-14, 2010
Winter Whoot Festival (Snow Lake)
The three day “Whoot’ to be held March 11-14, 2010, starts off with an exciting Ice Worm scavenger hunt that involves funny and interesting local trivia. The proceeds of the community tea on March 14 will be donated to a charitable group for Haiti.
 

The event includes something for everyone the family. Fun things for youngsters can include face painting, bouncy houses, a fish pond that is always a huge hit, tug of war, plus games like road hockey, giant basketball and winter golf.  Also popular are races, horse sleigh rides around town, clowns, balloons for everyone, a fashion show, carpet bowling, ski races, dart tournaments, bingo, cribbage tournament, mini bonspiel, snow golf with orange balls, and a penny parade. You can also go for a snowmobile ride or cross country skiing on the beautifully groomed trails through the boreal forest.
